"Basis" Program
Our "Basis" Students Program is a new Hebrew University in Jerusalem program, which accepts students to various faculties of the university without a Psychometric Entrance Exam. The program is open to excelling students from abroad, who study in the Mechina and then continue on to their choice of studies at the Hebrew University.
This year, we received 14 students from France, most of whom have been accepted to the Humanities and Science Departments at the university. These students study with the rest of our Mechina students, and are extremely motivated to continue their academic careers in Israel.
The Rothberg International School administration is looking forward to receiving more students from more countries in the coming years.
The Mechina Alumni Association has partnered each "Basis" student with a Mechina alumni from the same faculty of studies, who will guide and assist the "Basis" students, both academically and socially. The alumni have already become a sort of "older siblings" - family away from home - and will continue to assist the new students throughout their academic careers.
The first meeting between the students was held in December, 2013.
Good luck to all of our students and alumni!
