Alumni Tutoring Alumni (and students!)

Our tutoring project teams up an alumni with another alumni or a current student in need of academic assistance, in various subjects at the university.

Older Siblings
 We make studying abroad in a foreign language easier by partnering a Mechina alumni in his/her first year of university with another alumni in his/her second or third year of the same faculty of studies. The "older sibling" makes life easier for the new student, both socially and academically, as a result of the shared understanding of the difficulties in the Israeli academia as a non-native-Hebrew speaker/Israeli.
Israeli Siblings
 This project is similar to "Older Siblings," but partners an Israeli student in his/her second or third year of the same faculty of studies as the first-year student (mechina alumni). This partnership helps our alumni academically, bureaucratically, and socially, and integrates them into the Israeli student life smoothly.

Adopting Families
 Mechina students can choose to receive an adopting family - an alumni who has settled down in Israel with a family, and can host our students on Friday nights and holidays, and give them a home for emotional as well as practical, daily support.
