Purim Fair
March 2015
On the occasion of Purim, the Mechina Alumni Association organised a gift fair. The presents were donated by the Korean community, teachers, and students. We succeeded in raising significant funding for activities and students in need through the sales!

ChanuJam
December 2014
In the light of Hanukkah, an amazing Jam session was held at the Shem Tov bar near Machane Yehuda. Olim from all over the world and Israelis came together on the second night of Hanukkah, in order to play music and sing. Moreover, an incredible amount of suffganiot, drinks, and great atmosphere accompanied the participants all night long!

Rock N' Yerushalayim
November 2014
The first of its kind, this major event was organized by the "Forum for the Organizers of the young Aliya to Jerusalem", with live performances by Olim (like Natalia Lensczner, and Elias Israel's band, whom are Mechina Alumni). The event had as its main guest, the famous Israeli band Shivat Tzion. The event was part of the Aliya week organized by the Jerusalem municipality, and counted over 600 participants both Olim & Israelis.

Olim Al HaBar

The first event of its kind, in which Olim Chadashim and Vatikim from all corners of the world spoke, sang, and made us laugh, at Shuk Machane Yehuda in Jerusalem. The audience included Olim, tourists, Tzabarim, and everyone in between.

Social Aliyah
June 2014
Three meetings with Mechina students, alumni, and Israeli students, to get to know Israeli society on a deeper level and receive tools for social action. We discussed multiculturalism in a welfare state, economic ideas and their social impact, and social involvement on a micro and macro level.
The discussions were led by Dana Halevi, a doctorate student at the School of Social Work; Dr. Daniel Gottlieb, Deputy Director in Research and Planning at the National Insurance Institute of Israel; and Ayelet Rubabshi, an M.A student in Political Science.
