HAMIFGASH
On the 19th of June, 2015, the Mechina Alumni Association organized the HAMIFGASH event. The event started with a breakfast, which was followed by three very interesting presentations. The first lecturer was a Mechina Alumnus from 1987, Prof Ernesto Joselevich, who is now a professor in the Nanotechnology department at the Weismann Institute of Science. Following his lecture, was Sylvain Ruhamya, a refugee and activist from the Congo, who told his fascinating life story, about how a refugee became a Masters student here at the Hebrew University. Last but not least, Natalia Lenczner, another Mechina Alumnus, performed her stand-up show about what it means to be an Oleh Hadash here in Israel. Finally, after the presentations, we enjoyed a light outdoor meal, cold beer, and music played by Mechina Alumni Hillel Ellias Israel. If you weren't there, you missed out!
