Meet Meir, a Mechina Alumni Association Board of Directors member.

What is your best memory from the Mechina?
Undoubtedly, the best memory I have is the Excelling Students Ceremony. I felt that if I was able to be a part of the list of the excelling students in the Mechina, I could do anything, especially to continue to excel in my academic career. The recognition gave me confidence and motivation to continue.

Which tools and capabilities did you receive from your Mechina studies?
The most significant achievement of the Mechina in my life is that it gave me the ability to fully study a subject, such as physics, in a foreign language (Hebrew). Ulpan (Hebrew studies) is important and necessary, but using the information that I learned in Ulpan in our daily lives is not easy. Once I was able to do so, I was able to better prepare myself for my future academic career in Israel.

Tell us about an interesting character trait of yours.
I'm really, really critical. Not just critical - everything I hear and learn about, is wrong until proven otherwise. Prove to me you're right, and then I'll believe you! Maybe...
